Update
Upon request from Jen about the health of my friend Bethany (previous posts refer to her 3 1/2 months in the hospital and rehab because of a nerve syndrome she was diagnosed with), I am happy to report that not only has she been released from rehab (as of last week, mid Sept.), she is all moved into a nice new apartment and doing remarkably on her own, considering all she's been through.
Though she's not fully 100% back to full strenth, the improvement has been magnificent. The first time I visited her in the hospital she was very underweight and just learning to walk again. The next time I saw her, a month later, she could walk almost perfectly and function much more normally, though she would still take things slowly. She still goes to out-patient physical therapy a couple times a week and takes things a little slower with physical activity, but otherwise things are almost completely back to normal! What a success story! Refer to Bethany's blog if interested!
